Brilliant food by one of the most talented young Chefs in France right now. Very contemporary and intimate (it seats only 26).  Everyone sits on one long bench with the kitchen in full view at the end. You could easily imagine yourself on a spaceship. I recommend the smaller menu as it is quite extensive, and let the Chef be your guide. Each plate is immaculately composed and presented. The food is truly amazing, very inventive with unexpected combinations of pristine ingredients and flavours.

    

The service is excellent with constant interactions between you - the guest, the waiting staff and the Chef. Really, a memorable journey and at the end - a stand out meal.

A small, modern but cosy place, hugely popular with lots of fashionable Japanese and Americans but also plenty of locals the day we visited. From the moment the complementary terrine with cornichons arrive you are well on your way to a wonderful meal cooked creatively with the freshest ingredients.  The food and combinations of flavours are fabulous with very generous portions and at a fixed price menu of 36 Euros it represents one of the best value meals you are likely to get in Paris.

  

The service is also excellent. Truly, why go to the obvious high temples of cuisine when you can get a similar experience at these prices.  (On a par with the still excellent L'Epi Dupin reviewed last year).

Located in the building of the Opera Garnier, Place de l'Opera, it is fantastic and unusual, with an all red setting and magnificent glass curtain walls that surround and protect the original curvy stone walls. The architect has created a sleek modern design in this very historic building.

  

You'll think the menu has been designed to match the architecture. Each dish is precisely balanced, again using the best produce of the season. Slightly on the expensive side but overall, a good experience for food lovers as well as the architectural aficionados. It seems very popular for lunch.
